Great location, practically on the beach with two nice cafes within a stone's throw. The room was clean and comfortable with plenty of free tea, coffee and biscuits.
I'm not sure if this still operates as a bar. It's great as a B&B which is what we booked it for, comfortable room good breakfast, good access during the day and night close to the harbour and walks along the coast.
Planned a short weekend away and was not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and polite. The rooms were ideal for our needs, and the breakfast lived up to its very good reputation. Location ideal as it was just a couple of minutes from the harbor, and on site parking.Strongly recommend.

Great location, friendly staff, small carpark. The property it's self was clean for the most part, but very tired in places. I sat on two toilet seats both were loose. The lamp shade in the room was dusty. Nice full English. Has its very own small Bar and art gallery.
Stayed at The Durbeyfield for a weekend trip.The furniture and decor could use an update,but it was clean and the bathroom spotless.Staff were friendly and helpful.The breakfast could have been better!If you are not picky about style and just want a clean, quiet place to sleep,this does the job!It is not modern or fancy,it is pretty tired looking but with some updates this property could make a much stronger first impression! So the location is good, right in the centre. Parking is free and spaces for around 10 cars. Walk into town or the beach is 5 minutes. Nice harbour nearby. Few restaurants, lots of take aways. Local beach is pebbles, and dog friendly in certain areas. The guest house offers breakfast which was nicely done. The room was comfortable and suitable for a building of its age. The staff were friendly. I cannot fault this place to be honest, and found it a nice place for a stop over. Bar downstairs. Also.... dog friendly!!!
The couple that runs it were so friendly and sweet! The breakfast was wonderful and the location is lovely. We had a great stay and would visit again. It is a bit dated, but clean and serviceable. The value is good for the area during tourist season. The free car parking was a nice bonus.
